Different strokes for different folks. There is no right or wrong answers on this issue. We like the freedom we get with the toad. Sometimes we may drive a hundred or more miles from our base camp. At 40 mpg that is doable. At 10 ( or less ) mpg not so doable. Plus the extra wear and tear on the MH makes the toad well worth the cost. But again, it all boils down to individual likes and styles of camping.
