As you can see in the picture the 8D is two 27s or 29s with 250 Ah and it is only 20.5” long and 10.5” and 10” high. It should fit easily in the space of two 29s. The problem is that it weights 159 lbs so it takes two strong people to lift and man handle it. Since I had to “tip” my 29s to slide them into the battery box. I think it might take 3 people to get an 8D into an Axis coach box. On the positive side one 8D is substantially cheaper than two 29 AGMs as well as having more Ahs.
