You should not run the pump when on city water. The pump is used to pump water from the fresh water tank into the water lines. The pump puts out the same pressure as what you should be getting off the outside faucet ( about 40 to 55 psi).

What most of us have been trying to determine is do you have water pressure in your RV water lines when hooked to city water and the outside faucet turned on?
