Hello Jill, and welcome to the forum from Nevada. I just went from a 27 foot to a 35 foot and found that the new unit drives and handles a lot better. Yes, you will have to adjust your turning distance for sharp corners and backing into slots, but it's not really that difficult. With the new color back up monitors and the help of the wife as spotter, there's no problem. With her help, I've even done a fair job of learning to back with a car trailer attached. My thoughts on getting rid of stuff, I'd suggest renting a small storage and store a minimum of what you'd need for a start up just incase somthing upsets the current plans.
