shut the water off an pull the hot water faucet valve and make sure no debris is preventing water from getting to the faucet - junk in the line could be blocking the valve. You never know how the line was pulled, it you don't want to do that, unscrew the feed line from the faucet under the sink and pump have some one turn thee pump on for a minute - if you have water in the hot line, it's the faucet or valve. just be ready for water with a bucket when they hit the pump switch.
