Follow up:
So I just spoke with Abby at TriMark about my lock. She says I have the 30-900 series lock, which, according to her has not had any of the problems that the other style lock has had. It seems I may need to adjust it since we have to slam the door, but she said the internal parts have been solid on these models. So I don't know if mine has already been replaced since the coach is new to us, but was a used unit. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, even emailed me schematics on the lock.
