31Y Kinked LP Hose
I've been trying to start my Dometic furnace. It worked fine initially after purchase, but after several months it no longer lit. When I turned up the thermostat the furnace would attempt to light for 3 seconds, fail and try again. I had a mechanic trouble shoot the problem and he bench-tested the furnace-it worked great. The LP gas bottle is full and I can cook on the range-no problem with that. The mechanic discovered that the LP line is kinked. He stated, "Each time the slide out is moved the hose is kinked more. He said it will be irreversibly kinked. He also stated that the lines are long enough to compensate for the room moving in and out, however when the room is closed the end of the slot in the slide room floor presses against the hole in the floor that they are routed through. When the room is closed the furnace lights for a few seconds then sputters out as it is starved for fuel."
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this so I don't have to replace the line?
Thanks,
Chris
