I rarely use the bung hole. The tubular gasket for the cargo door has a gap in it slightly larger than the cord diameter (intentional or defect — no idea). I lay the cord in that gap & close the door. Not insect proof or waterproof I suppose, but in 60,000 miles of travel all over the country I’ve never had a varmint inside my cargo bay & its tons quicker than feeding the cord thru the hole & back again.
