Mine is in the basement, under the bed. I can hear it from anywhere in the trailer forward of the island.

I recently moved some too short PEX lines around that were hitting the pump, that helped.

Next time we are spending any time with no water hookup I plan on experimenting a bit.

I have a spare pump that I'll connect to the tank drain and water inlet, let the pump sit on the ground.
