no, but if you're referring to possible bloating, or water issues, ours is doing the same, especially close to the corner behind the sink. I imagine we've had water from the coffee pot, etc. be in that area and didn't realize it, and the 'wood' that the backsplash is actually made of will probably eventually soak up the moisture...

I'm sure you could replace it with most anything you find available, or even just cover it with something else.
