Question on hydraulic jacks

Hope I don't come across as too dense here, but I have a concern.
I had never had any type of leveling system on the Gulfstream B Touring Cruiser we had for the last 12 years, so I have zero experience with the leveler system. I was told at the dealership when I bought the ACE to always level first, then extend the slides so as to not stress the coach. Sounded logical. But I notice when I use the auto level the coach is level, checking with a two foot level, till I extend the slides then the coach goes out of bubble about an 1/8th, leaning to the slide side. I have been going back and tweaking the jacks to level out. Is this OK to do with the slides out? Or should I manually overcompensate by 1/8 bubble before I extend the slides?
Tx
Mark
