The '17 29.3 (30 amp) we recently bought has a second rooftop unit installed in the bedroom and wired into the circuit breaker on its own 20 amp breaker. Of course, we can only run one unit at a time, which in this heat really taxes either one. Why the previous owner didn't run a separate line as long as he was making the modification escapes me.

Anyway, my plan is to disconnect the existing feed to the 20 amp breaker and run a dedicated 15/20 amp line so both units can be used when needed. That breaker would serve only the bedroom AC. The circuit breaker is under the bed, so I'm assuming I can run the romex through the floor and over to the utility compartment. Does anyone see any issues with this?

Thanks,
Mickey
