Ford F53 Mult-Function Unit Connector

I had the same problem after camping last week. My brake lights, turn signals, and flasher did not work. Fuses seemed fine. My online research pointed to a multi-function control unit in most Ford trucks, including the F53. The unit is on the steering column and the turn signal lever is attached to it. I thought I might have to replace it, but after I removed the plastic covers on the steering column I saw that the connector was loose. I shoved it back in and everything worked. However, further inspection of the connector found the bottom connecting tab was broken. So, I ordered a new connector, butt-spliced the 9 wires, and everything is working again with a securely attached connector.
