Is the tire wear, etc. not that significant when towing 4 down ?

Ron

The tire wear on normal "made for highway use" tires is minimal...probably no more than if you were driving it. My point...and why I will use a trailer...the particular tires on my Jeep are heavy lug, slow speed traction tires designed for maximum grip off road and in rough terrain area. Heat buildup at constant highway speeds would cause excessive wear on the highway. Those comments are driven by tire design and purpose moreso than vehicle type. A stock, new from the dealer Jeep would come with highway tires suitable for towing 4 down.
