Can just the "plunger" (for lack of a better name) be replaced, rather than buying an entire assembly?

ccwaxman,
I sent an email to Customer Service of the lock manufacturer ( TriMark) along with a picture of the model number. They sent me a new assembly free, used the old external face plate. Took a couple weeks to get. My old one had the cast zinc plunger and the new one has steel. Took me three minutes to change and no adjustments required. You can see the magnet stuck to the new plunger proving it's steel. http://www.thorforums.com/forums/att...1&d=1559431688
Enjoy the new rig.
