That's how I removed my TV, too. Get a flashlight to see those screws. I bought my new TV wall mount that tilts & turns at Harbor Freight. It looks intimidating on the box, but you do not need the wide rails. Measurements are most important, making sure it is in the middle of your opening. If I can do it by myself, you can easily do it. I liked it so well that I bought a 2nd one & replaced my main TV, too, which had a left side hinge only. And now I can turn it in both directions. Love it. Plus outdoor TV, you can watch working at your outdoor kitchen, too!
