I agree with Jamie that in general most RV parks are very safe places. I also found that if the park has some type of hazard a good park host will make you aware of that hazard at check in. For example during our return from Fort Wilderness in January we stayed at a park in SC. Upon check in the host informed us that if we walked the trail around the park to keep an eye out for alligators.

Also, night time presents its own hazards in parks. Children are still riding bicycles, parents sometimes cheat and let under aged children drive golf carts around, and children from 6 - 62 are walking back and forth from bath houses. We as adults need to be extremely careful during these times as we are leaving and returning to the park.

If I were a betting man my money would be on you banging your head so hard you see stars on the edge of a slide before your children receive their first campground wound.

My advice, pack a good first aid kit with lots of band aids and let the children have fun.
