I read the best way to describe an RV is a home that is going through an earthquake during a hurricane. I really cannot think of anything short of an iron bar that can go through that much stress without something coming loose or shaking apart. It's good to know some basic repair skills. You'll learn more as you go along. But the best skill is knowing your limits and calling in a professional. I bought mine one year used, with 5000 miles on it. That's not even broken in! So far, 99.875% satisfied!
