Water pump

Got home from Kentucky yesterday and parked the rig in the drive, a couple hrs later I looked out and seen a puddle of water back by the rear wheels where we fill with water. It was leaking.
Waited until this morning and went out to check again and found the leak on the ( what I was told) is the filter.
I tried the tighten the fitting but it made it worse, so I drained thetznk and took pics to my local RV repair facility. He said those filters crack easy and would order one. Due to recent spinal surgery and the location of the pump, the dealer will send a guy out and replace it at no charge for the service. What a guy !
I guess there is an upside to having lots of problems and being a frequent customer.
Anyone else have that pump filter go bad ?
I mean geez, it's only 2 yrs old.
