On the inside of the freezer. It is the one thing that requires being level to operate properly. Once you have obtained level there set a level on your dash and adjust it to match the temporary one in your freezer. I have one on the dash for side to side and on the door for front to rear. Makes it easy to get leveled as you pull in to a camp site by glancing at the levels.
