Yeah, it will work fine on a slope.... My driveway is very unlevel (about 8 inches as well) and I noticed it was NOT cooling as well as I thought it should have the last time we were loading it up (temp slowly rising). Once I got on the road the temp dropped pretty quick. And I had the frig on the night before (in a level storage shed) so it was already pre cooled.
I think its a cumlative thing as well. The more you do it the more damage it can cause over time. Off level 1 out of 10 times.... Im not gong to worry about it.
I try to get within a half a bubble and call it good enough. Sometimes its off a full bubble.
