There is NO hinge at the top. It's just an extruded channel sitting on top of a ledge. There are two screws tacking the top of the window frame in place.

If you zoom in on the photo you will see what I am describing.
If the bottom latches are released, and the window is pushed outward, i would expect it to fall off the RV.
The question then becomes, is it possible to install some type of mechanism that would allow the top of the window to be retained if the latches are released and the window is opened partially? The trick would be to allow opening a little bit and in an emergency situation, allow it to come off if opened more.
Looks like a potential MOD to me.  |
I wonder if it would be easier to just add a big sliding window that still opened enough in case of an emergency. Wouldn’t be cheaper in am sure
