As PTS said above, it is perfectly OK to run the generator while traveling. In the summer, I usually start all trips running the house AC and Chassis AC. Once the coach is nice and cool, I shut off the chassis AC and just run the house unit. Engine likes the extra power of with AC dragging it. I have ran the generator for 10 hour travel day. Just remember to keep an eye on the oil level during and after your trip as well as other recommended checks by your manufacturer. Take care of the genny and it will take care of you.
