I own a Class B diesel sprinter with propane gen. Works great. Always starts (unlike the gas 4KW gen on my previous Thor which would gum up if you didn't run it for a couple of wks). We don't boondock so no issues about running low on propane. Consider: you can buy a lot of propane for $6,000. Not much to service on it either.
