Issue is simple.
If it is staked out and a high wind, or heaven forbid a pop-up thunderstorm, comes along and the awning attempts to retract what happens next. Does the awning fail to retract, does the screen tear, do the stakes get pulled from the ground and either roll into and teat the awning or constantly beat against the side of the coach and possibly break a window?
Again I say the best thing to do is call Carefree and ask them for their advice based on the awning on the coach.
