I thing with induction cooktop you can use anything as long as the bottom is flat so it "hugs" the surface. I bought some melamine dishes from Amazon and we have a collection of both glass and plastic glasses we use (my husband won't drink his Scotch from a plastic glass, lol). I also have one of the metal wine cooler glasses I use when I have wine.
