But as almost everyone is here to see the city, that is where it really shines. They have an orientation to teach you about the train and bus system that is really good.
The Metro bus actually stops in the park, connects to the train, and that will take you to anywhere in the city. It is so easy.

Yes, it is a nice park. I have stayed there several times over the years. I recommend it for anyone wanting to check out DC. But it is pricey and they do not offer weekly or even monthly rates. But it is a very well maintained campground. Did you go to Shoppers food and get any doughnuts? They are the BEST!
