Hi, you don't identify your coach or awning details. I don't know if there are stated lubrication requirements stated by any current awning makers. I have a Carefree Travelr unit on my old ACE and I have removed the end caps to lightly spray chain lube spray lightly on gears and bearing points in my awning. I don't full time or Winter camp so not sure if chain lube is the best for those situations. Once in 7 years (recently) is all I have done and so far it operates like day one (famous last words).
