It fits between your tank and regulator... With propane off, disconnect regulator and insert this in the middle.
The top tap is the 'disposable bottle' thread - allows you to connect a high pressure appliance to the RV propane.
The smaller center tap is where you would connect an aux propane tank (with RV propane off) to extend your stay..
The hoses for both purposes come with it.
The regulator just shifts to the side a bit.
