Like others who have replied to this thread, we have experienced the same issue.
The cause of the problem appears to be thermal. Meaning a change in temperature causes the trim to contract or expand. Since both ends of the trim are attached with screws, contraction can, and does cause the trim to pop out of the track.
IMHO, gluing the trim in place will not solve the issue. It’ll just pop out in another place.
I found a roll of replacement trim on Amazon.com and plan to replace mine in the spring. I will make sure there is sufficient slack in it before I attach the ends.
My temporary fix was to cut the trim in the middle and put it back in the track. It leaves a small gap but unless you are looking for it, it is not that noticeable.
