Medicare covers nothing if you are out of the country and most Medicare supplements do not either. Few, if any, regular medical insurance policies will pay for a flight a hospital to your home either escorted on a commercial flight or by private charter. It can cost thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars, Policies like EA+, like I have, cover all that as well as getting your RV home. I need no pre-approval, nor do I even have to tell them I am going on a trip or out of the country. If you only use your RVs on weekends, 100 miles from home, you probably don’t need it. If you travel long distances for long periods of time, especially out of the country - even to Canada - it is cheap insurance.
