Our previous motorhome had a hide-a-bed … the mattress was horrible and the springs were bad too. After struggling to be comfortable..we ordered a new RV 3 core foam mattress and Ron devised a 3 piece plywood board which folded up for storage...which we placed over the springs. Problem solved. That was about 7 yrs ago and the mattress cost was about $500.
MY POINT BEING...before you purchase a Hide-A-Bed...check it out..make sure you will be happy with it.

HAPPY CAMPING !!

Thank you for replying and for sharing your experience. :-). We appreciate any advice and information. From the price range we find we must look in I think we definitely need to "sleep on it" literally or at least take it for a test rest before purchasing.
