THOR #13360
Visited Thor this week

This started out short but runs long....We did the tour at Thor on Tuesday plant 750 in Elkhart. Interesting. Saw a few things that are different from our 2015 34E to the new models.
One thing they are adding to the slide is a drip cup at the lower corner where the vertical rubber seal meets the horizontal seal. The idea is to catch anything coming down and letting it go outside rather than just sit on the seal waiting to go inside the coach. Good idea if it works something to try if you have your slide out already.
Joe, the tour guide said a couple things that we all know. One thing was that we should take DATED pictures every quarter in case the roof leaks we have proof of inspections. The roof warranty is 12 year from the roof manufacture . But without proof of inspection/repair you are out of luck.
He also asked if we saw anyone running around rushing to get the job done like the trailer places. Well we didn't see but a couple people working, but did see a lot of folks leaving at end of shift. So hard to tell what happens during a full shift.
Features, led light on electronic control no wires to break.
Talked about a new V8 from Ford the has lots of torque at low RV and better MPG
Looked at the same model Windsport as ours it has 6" wide kitchen drawers zero counter space, larger refrigerator, added a pull out pantry . No place to put silverware ?
On the less than good side IMHO the door to the get set was maybe 6" tall so getting the cover off would be a real PIA. Still saw a lot of wood shaving in the cabinets and wood plugs left where they fell. I asked if they were installing rear Trac bars or steering stabilizers and got the stock answer, no they couldn't as it would change the factory chassis and void the warranty. Why not ask the factory to build that into the base price couldn't add but a few hundred bucks on a bug dollar purchase. The plant could have been swept to pick up the loose screws and bolts as well as moving the loose wire harnesses from walk ways. ( this is being picky, but attention to details like these would make me feel like they really cared about the end product. But that's just me)
On the good side the washer holding tank is centered just below the radiator way easier to fill. The Oil fill is still way too high and hard to reach. The battery is mounted down low left of the radiator easier to service.
The fans at the windshield swivel to blow back into the coach and are mounted to allow the front manual shade.
Overall, not sure I would go out of my way to do it again, but we were and hour away and it was kinda on the way.
The new units are sure pretty
