When you refer to the the door side jack being the easier to remove, do you have two sets of batteries with the second set being stored in the front door side.

I haven't had the problem with my jacks yet but scoped it out per the amount of coverage given. I like standing on my feet accessing the jack rather than laying on my belly. But looking at almost 7 years of owning a FW nothing is impossible if the old bones allow wiggle room.
