The best thing for all RVers is to purchase a digital mulitmeter and learn how to use it. Then use the voltmeter portion to actually measure your battery voltage and see if the charging system(s) is working to charge batteries or not. Typical wet cell full charge is 12.6vdc (when not charging; light or not loaded). When charging you should see 13vdc or higher approximately. If not then something is wrong; time to investigate.

100% correct the multimeter has been a lifesaver for me, I can double check when the shore power is on and the battery show a charge.
