That's because it is a real hyperlink. You only see the:
"https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1"
But if you hoover your mouse over it you can see the embedded hyperlink is:
"https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MF5S1S4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"
The embedded hyperlink for the "link" you posted is exactly what you see:
"https://www.amazon.com/Camco-Support...7150025&sr=8-1" which does not, in fact, exist.
However, the problem you referenced which had to do with the forum trying to intercept the link and warn you about leaving the forum, but instead breaks the link and gives you a 404 error only manifests itself to me when I use Edge. I end up with this in the address bar:
"https://www.thorforums.com/forums/misc.php?postid=216880&threadid=20175&external_pag e=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2FB0 1MF5S1S4%2Fref%3Dppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00%3F ie%3DUTF8%26amp%3Bpsc%3D1"
