'Mothership' Love It!
Edge says it's based on the Chromium open source project: "This browser is made possible by the Chromium open source project and other open source software."
I was very disturbed to find a file in the User Data directory that carries your account password status. The file is 'Local File' and it's content contains the following:
"password_manager":{
"os_password_blank":false,
"os_password_last_changed":"13221780406808311"
}
os_password_blank shows whether or not your computer account is password protected. Choose a blank password, and it's value changes to true. For testing purposes only. Never leave an account unprotected.
os_password_last_changed - the timestamp is Unix and can be converted online in any number of calculators/converters.
Seems you can't really trust anyone/anything anymore?
