As I was thinking this over last night I decided that the PullRite Superslide 24k lbs hitch is going to be my best choice.
There are a number of people on DRV Facebook forums who are happily pulling DRVs with Shortbed Duallies using the Pullrite Superslide, so it seems that is the most popular way to go with short beds and heavy DRVs.
