Depending on available time and interests (which is so personal), the I-40 route, between Flagstaff and Gallup, also goes by Meteor Crater and Petrified Forest National Park.
I’m not particularly into art but enjoyed visiting Santa Fe nonetheless. A couple of the old churches have interesting history. The Loretto Chapel staircase was cool for us to see.
