He is right about the RVIA. They just want to have the buyer believe that ab RV manufacturer being part of the RVIA is a statement of quality. The RVIA is nothing but a marketing ploy, thats' it. Yes, the RV industry today puts out a lot of snazzy items into their products (IE. led lights, flat screens, heated floors, etc). But, behind the scenes {IE: the wiring, plumbing, construction is a very different story). One can get the magority of appliances, systems replaced if they are handy with tools and understand the basics of how rv systems work. To this day it amazes me hoe people continue to fall for the gimmicks RV dealers try to get a "sale". Folks spend Big $$$$, and not now the basics of how any thing works. I always try to get buyers to spend some time and attend a basic RV maintenance class. If they spend Big $$$ on their rigs, they should also invest some time and money in themselves on how to check, inspect their rig.
