What I did for the bottom of the ladder support was take long deck wood screws and neatly screw them into each hole of the ladder using the existing holes in the fiberglass. Behind the fiberglass I mounted a 2 x 4 pressure treated piece of wood. I then continued with the deck wood screw right into the 2 x 4 on the other side of the fiberglass for a total of eight screws. This really made a solid connection. Easy to do, just have to get underneath the body and have someone hold the 2 x 4 while you screw it in from the other side, then paint the screws black or whatever color your ladder is.
