I have fixed several over the years on different equipment
To get something of substance I inject some PL8 into the hole, trying to get an ounce or so. I do it slowly and it stays at the opening as it is very thick and sticky. It is my go to adhesive for many RV repairs. Best product for all around use at the S&B and RV
After it has dried for a minimum of 4 hours or a day predrill and insert you screw
The material dries very hard and stays there for as long as you need it
