Unfailingly.
I took my avalanche into the shop on Monday. I removed the hitch for the first time in maybe 8 years, the year these locks hit the market. I went to Sema and had a specific plan to buy them there before they were on the open market. Guess who was too new/green to have brought any for sale at Sema?

Anyway, I looked at it and the rubber cap was off and I didn't like that, but I put the key in, and my hands are big enough I can turn the key and slide these off with one hand. And I did.
The key only turns the lock about an eighth of a turn so there's not wrist twisting involved.
