You are going to need to do some rewiring to use it.

First, you would need to pull the cable supplying the AC input to your Inverter out of the Inverter and use it with a junction box so you could connect it to the Utility Input wires of the external transfer switch.

Then, you would need to plug the external transfer switch into the outlet on the Inverter.... assuming it came with the optional outlet. If not, you would need to add one to your Inverter.

You would then need to pull the cable from the output of your inverter and use it with another junction box to connect it to the Load / AC Output wires of the external transfer switch.

You would keep your Inverter powered on all the time and then when you removed shore or generator power, the transfer switch would allow the AC output of the Inverter to go to the outlets wired to the Inverter.
