Our '18 JLU is really tough to shift from 2H to 4H and then to N and 4L - so much so that I thought forcing it might break something. But with time it is getting better. Not all that uncommon, from what I've read. We bought ours a few months ago - a dealer loaner, so I doubt it was ever shifted into 4WD.
