Securing the rear wall
Thanks to Ruth Finkenbiner for the idea.
I believe this wall is moving when rolling down the road. Here are three signs that I believe indicate movement:
1. The screws keep backing out of the rail that hold the rear cap to the coach.
2. There is a ding, pushing out from the inside, by the rear storage locker door.
3. The corner molding and baseboards on the rear wall on either side of the sofa kept coming loose, even when repaired.

This is what I did to secure the wall.
Parts I used:
6 x 5/16 bolts (I bought 1 1/2” but 1” would work fine)
6 x 5/16 nylon locking nuts
3 x 3” x 7” tie down plates (tp-37)
6 x #8 x 1” sheet metal screws
JB Weld

1. Remove spare tire.
2. Clear the spray foam from the rear cap so the spare’s housing can be removed. I removed all of it and am going to spray in new foam.
3. Remove the 7 (3/8) bolts and the 8 (#2) Phillips head screws and drop the spare’s plastic housing down.
4. Remove the rear and side pieces of insulation.
5. Bend your tie down plates into a 90° bend. I also drilled out two of the holes a little so the #8 screws could just go through.
6. Hold the 90° bent tie down plate in place or clamp it to the floor truss and mark the base plate where your mounting holes are going to be.
7. Drill pilot holes on these marks.
8. Use denatured alcohol to clean the surface of the wall’s base plate and the 90° bent tie down plate.
9. Take equal parts of the JB Weld, mix and smear on the 90° bent tie down plate where it meets the base plate.
10. Mount in place and and screw to the base plate.
11. Clamp the other part of your 90° bent tie down plate to the floor truss and drill two holes large enough for the bolts.
12. Install the bolts and nylon nuts and tighten.


I did this process two more times. I mounted the brackets on the right, center, and left. I used thicker bolts and screws as they have a stronger sheer force.
Hint - Use a starter punch when drilling metal. It will insure your hole goes where you want it to go. I used masking tape on the black truss so I could easily see where I used the starter punch.
