You need to read up on inverters. You are way over thinking this. Your little inverter is pass thru capable. The big one you has is not. The little one does not use battery power when on shore power. It has a transfer switch inside. The big one does not. The little one uses battery power only when NOT on shore power. The big one uses battery power all the time. There is no back feed of any kind.
