Tire Pressure Monitoring unit causing vibration?

I recently purchased a 2018 Four Winds 24HL and took it for a test run a couple of weeks ago. It was butter smooth on the road, however today we headed out again and I had a slight but noticeable shimmy in the steering wheel. The only thing that has changed since the last trip is that I installed tire pressure monitoring gizmos on the front tires.

In order to get them on I had to add an angled valve stem extension through the hubcap, so the pressure monitoring units are hanging about an inch outside the hubcap.

Could these small devices be the cause of the new shimmy?

Thanks for your help!
