If you took I-40, you passed right through one of my old stomping grounds - Marion. Go back to Asheville toward the end of spring, around early May. She'll get a real kick out of the flowers/foliage, manicured gardens, etc. It's not really my thing but my friend loved it. Take DW down restaurant row, where you'll likely score some huge points
