Had the same problem in my outlaw. Was fine until I waited out hurricane mathew in NC. The damp weather for three days swelled the panels and popped.
The fix was to use my Ryobi vibrator saw and cut a eighth inch off the bottom. Then pinned nail them back no glue. Been four years haven’t popped since.
